2012 366: Day 21

January 21, 2012

She’s so proud to be three. And, she loves birds. A few of her friends came over today for a bird-themed birthday party. They strung cheerios on pipe cleaners, painted toilet paper rolls with peanut butter and rolled them in birdseed and crafted bird feeders from plates and eye bolts.  It was crazy, happy and fun.  It was cold outside, so my floor was covered in birdseed and crushed cheerios, but it didn’t matter… I felt so blessed to have her closest friends and family come together to help celebrate her — my Harper Love.

She felt a little shy when everybody turned their attention to her to sing “Happy Birthday”…

She hasn’t quite figured out how to blow out the candles (we should have practiced!) so, Daddy helped a little (shhhh…. don’t tell her.)

Three-week-old little Hunter was her youngest party guest. So cute and cuddly.  This picture really makes me miss the newborn stage.

After our guests left, we needed some fresh air and to expend some of the sugar energy, so we took a walk with my parents to a little playground in our neighborhood.  They sat on the swing set to watch Harper play, and there was just something so playful about the moment that I absolutely adored.
